4 Nama Grup K-Pop Teraneh

Salah satu faktor kunci sebuah grup K-pop cepat mendapat tempat di hati penggemar adalah namanya. Nama grup seperti Super Junior, 2NE1, Big Bang, atau 2PM terbukti paling mudah diingat. 

Namun, tidak jarang nama grup justru jadi bumerang, dicemooh dan — yang lebih apes — terlupakan. Padahal nama-nama unik itu dipilih oleh manajemen artis demi alasan komersial. Jadi, bukan salah anggota grup sepenuhnya. 

Berikut adalah beberapa nama grup K-pop yang paling unik. 

Fin.K.L

Fin.K.L dibentuk oleh manajemen artis DSP sebagai saingan S.E.S, girl grup jebolan SM yang sangat populer di akhir tahun ‘90-an. Dari grup inilah kemudian muncul penyanyi dan aktris seksi seperti Lee Hyori (You & I) dan Sung Yuri (Man of Equator).

Sayang, nama grup tidak seseksi para anggotanya. Fin.K.L adalah kependekan dari Fin Killing Liberty. Tidak ada yang mengerti sepenuhnya arti grup ini. 

Ada yang bilang Fin diambil dari bahasa Prancis yang berarti akhir. Ditambah dengan kata Killing Liberty banyak yang mengira grup dimaksudkan menghentikan semua pembunuh kebebasan (entah apa maksudnya). Hingga akhirnya grup bubar dan keempat anggotanya sukses berkarier solo, arti nama Fin.K.L masih belum jelas terungkap.

Taetiseo (TTS)

Entah kenapa pertama kali mendengar nama grup unit SNSD sini, yang terlintas dalam benak adalah orang yang sedang berjalan tertatih karena keseleo. Tapi kemudian, setelah menyimak agak dalam, ternyata nama TaeTiSeo ini diambil dari suku kata pertama nama depan ketiga anggotanya, Taeyon, Tiffany dan Seohyun. 

Keunikan nama ini membuat banyak orang penasaran seperti apa sih musik TaeTiSeo. Namun, nama itu juga bukan berarti grup aman dari sindiran. Beberapa waktu yang lalu, komedian Shin Bora dalam acara “Gag Concert” mengatakan, nama TaeTiSeo adalah nama yang kekanak-kanakan dan kuno. Ia juga mengolok-olok suara yang kedengaran dari penyebutan TaeTiSeo itu. Yang terakhir ini, tentu saja diprotes habis-habisan oleh penggemar Soshi.Taetiseo

MBLAQ

Nama grup yang tidak kalah unik adalah MBLAQ. Grup yang dibentuk oleh Rain ini terdiri dari Lee Joon, MIR, G.O, Seungho dan Thunder alias Cheondong. Nama grup ini juga cukup aneh dan lain dari pada yang lain. MBLAQ ternyata singkatan dari Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality. Entah kenapa Rain memilih nama ini. Mungkin diharapkan dengan nama ini, kelima cowok ganteng ini diharapkan bisa menampilkan musik dan kemampuan panggung dalam kualitas yang absolut (terbaik).

Walau kesuksesan grup sejak debut belum bisa disejajarkan dengan boyband lainnya seperti Super Junior atau Big Bang, setidaknya MBLAQ sudah dikenal di luar Korea, terutama Lee Joon setelah aktingnya sebagai Rain kecil dalam “Ninja Assasins”. 

Juga berkat lagu Monalisa, MBLAQ kini tidak hanya populer di Jepang, tetapi juga di negara-negara Amerika Latin. Kualitas musik dan aksi panggung grup mungkin boleh terbaik, tapi tetap nama MBLAQ sebagai grup tetap menjadi salah satu nama grup K-pop yang paling unik.MBLAQ

f(x)

SM Entertainment bisa dibilang paling jagoan memilih singkatan aneh untuk grup barunya. Mulai dari H.O.T, TVXQ/DBSK, Trax, sampai grup terbaru mereka yang tampil dalam versi Korea dan Mandarin, EXO. Begitu pula grup yang terdiri dari Krystal, Sulli, Amber, Luna, dan Victoria pun tak luput dari pemberian nama yang tidak kalah unik, f(x).

Menggunakan notasi matematika untuk fungsi, dan di dalam tanda kurung ditambahkan huruf x, nama f(x) bisa berarti banyak. Yang pasti huruf f adalah singkatan dari “flower” dan x mewakili kromosom perempuan. Jadi, f(x) diharapkan menjadi girlband yang bisa berubah dan beradaptasi dalam berbagai situasi.
